13 January 1910 — 3 Savile Row
Thursday. 13th [January 1910]. Wrote a lot of letters—paid bills &c. The builder Sanders called after lunch to arrange about dividing the studio over the kitchen at the back of the court yard into 2 bed rooms for servants. As it now is, it is space thrown away as it is never used as a studio. I took a long walk with Nellie afterwards across St James’s Park to try & find a bracket to hold a clock & a table my sister Kate wants to present to me as a Christmas present. We went to York St & on to Vica St but met with no success. Louis DC. called & much talk about the coming elections.
