16 January 1910 — 3 Savile Row
Sunday. 16th [January 1910]. I went to morning service in St James Piccadilly & heard Canon McCormick’s son preach a good earnest extempore sermon. Nora Hallé came to luncheon with me & I arranged to go tomorrow to her studio & finish some of my enamel work. Otherwise I was alone all day & had a restful one writing & reading– It was dark & rainy & one depended a great deal on electric light wh is a boon & makes one very independent of country darkness. Constance came to dine & we sat & talked quietly in the evening till she went home about 11.
