20 April 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice
Wednesday. 20th [April 1910]. Rather reassuring letters about Daisy. I wrote to advise Ola to return here. Most lovely almost hot weather today. After lunch went out with Mrs Langenbach to the Eden’s garden & the Vivians followed in their gondola. Found a good many English with the Edens. I went over to the hospital & asked Sister Chaffey to prepare tea for my party which she kindly did & then I fetched the party over. Made the round of the hospital patients & on leaving there we made a giro on the lagune & round outside S. Giorgio & landed at the Piazza. Went to Missiaglia’s & the ladies made small purchases. We got home a little before 7 pretty well tired out. Quiet evening. I made bead necklaces. Alexandra Vivian went out in gondola in eveng with the Whitaker party.
