8 October 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 8th [October 1910]. Lord & Lady Northcote arrived just before luncheon to stay with me & were installed in the rooms on the ground floor. In the afternoon I took them out in gondola down the Canal, by the Canareggio outside the town right round by the Arsenal back by the Giardini Publici past S. Marks down by the canal. It was a lovely afternoon & the lights & shade were beautiful. Mrs Curtis & her nephew Mr Latimer dined with us. | |
