12 October 1910 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Wednesday. 12th [October 1910]. We all went to the concert in the evening at the Sailors’ Institute where Mr Stainer kindly sang English ditties & all the week there was nothing doing worthy of note. The nieces were out a good deal with Mrs Bell Greene & her Prinsep sons– Hugh Whitaker took them out in his motor boat & Saturday I was in bed all day with a violent headache. The weather was fine & more wintry. | |
