13 December 1910 — Milan
Tuesday. 13th [December 1910]. I got up at 6 a.m. & went to Angela’s room at 7 to bid her good bye & then off to the station & left by 7.46 train for Venice. The same dull foggy weather as we have had for days past. Lunch in the train & reached Venice 12.15. Mr Montalba came at 2.30 & we went together to Pal. Morosini to the Liceo Concert at wh Mrs Hillman sang & Mme Delcour played a harmonic harp. She was nice looking & played beautifully. Mrs Hillman not in best voice but much applauded—especially when she sang some “Borgerattes”. Home & sat quiet till dinner & then in the evening had usual reception to which not many people came.
