24 April 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 24th [April 1911]. Incapacitated by headache—had to be down most of the day. Got up for dinner & went to ball given by Countess Morosini in her palace at San Vio where was all the society of Venice & the Duke of the Abruzzi—the Css has arranged her house very splendidly & entertains a great deal– She has one daughter who is handsome tho’ not the beauty that her mother used to be. | |
