7 May 1911 — 3 Savile Row | |
Sunday. 7th [May 1911]. The Kings accession day. We went to morng service at St James’ Piccadilly & the Bessboros gave me a seat in their pew. Good sermon by the curate: text Fear God Honor the King & ending by calling upon us to sing a verse of God save the King at the end. It was quite moving. Eda & I were alone at lunch. Mme Dussau called at tea time. Took a walk with Nela late—to see Bessboros’ & on to Lady Humphreys. Corise Rodney dined with us. She & Eda had great discussions on suffragettes & on politics—noisy & amusing. | |
