18 May 1911 — 3 Savile Row
Thursday. 18th [May 1911]. In the morning had a visit from Mrs Smith née Bagot whose mother Lady Bagot had been a great friend of mine. I had not seen Katey since she married some 10 years ago. It was pleasant to meet again & chat over mutual friends. Connie came to lunch & also Nora Hallé & Charlie Wyld brought a Major– I drove out with Nellie & ended by going to tea with Mr & Mrs Griscom at Buckland’s Hotel. Found Mr G. a good deal aged. Mr G. has had a stroke & it is sad to see his diminished powers. On getting home I had a visit from Lady Vivian.
