12 October 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 12th [October 1911]. I went off at 10 to a Committee meeting of the Sailor’s Institute—but stayed the rest of the day in my room having a headache & only went down at dinner time. Eda was very happy & rested after her long journey from England. She came 2nd class & left London Tuesday at 11 a.m. She is very deaf but by the help of an aurophone manages to hear sufficiently. | |
