14 October 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Saturday. 14th [October 1911]. I went out in the afternoon with Betsy (Winifred) & we went to the Luna & saw Mrs Prinsep in her own room—not very well & rather dishevelled but full of talk. She accompanied us & her son to the Piazza & there we parted– I went in to Pal. Tiepoletto to see Hugh W. who was said to be ailing—found nothing much the matter & told him to join us at dinner wh he did—& the young people played Poker Patience in the evening. Baker returned from the hospital much better. | |
