15 October 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 15th [October 1911]. We went to morning service. The 2 Prinseps came to luncheon at 1. Afterwards we all went to the Eden’s garden where there are still some roses in bloom. There was a procession going along the Giudecca as we passed which was very picturesque to look at. I & Baker went to the service in gondola at the Sailor’s Institute & walked back. There was a small congregation of sailors. | |
