16 October 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Monday. 16th [October 1911]. I finished modelling the wings of my little statuette the guardian angel which I purpose putting into the niche at the head of the big Portuguese wooden bed in the Royal apartment downstairs. I must now get it cast. Sir Edwin Egerton arrived abt 3 to stay with me. The girls went off in gondola to the Lido. I took a walk by the Iron bridge to Piazza & back by the Rialto– They all played Poker Patience in evening. | |
