27 October 1911 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Friday. 27th [October 1911]. Mr Montalba called in the morning. He & his sister have just returned from their villeggiatura. It is always a joy to see them they are such nice people. Mrs Curtis took Lady Egerton, Daphne Darley & Betsy Gore in gondola to Murano in the afternoon & I took Da Laura to the Piazza to buy post cards &c. Eda & Nela went out with the Whitakers. Home to tea. Da Laura rested afterwards & then joined me in the studio for an hour before dinner. She & I went to bed very early for I was also tired. | |
