Tuesday. 16th [April 1912]. Dreadful news today that the big White Star liner Titanic has been wrecked with over 2000 people on board! This is the biggest ship ever made—& the story of the Tower of Babel over again! A bitter cold day & I did not stir out. A few people came in the evening to my at home. | |
