21 July 1912 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Sunday. 21st [July 1912]. Went to morning service. There were abt 30 people there– Count Greppi came to lunch with me & was very agreeable & chatty. He said there was much wind this morng coming from Lido & persuaded me to give up my project of going there to dine with the Cassis– So I went to the hospital for a little while & then to see Sra Malagola & brought her home with me to dine & spend the eveng. I sent my household out the gondola to see the fireworks of wh we saw the highest rockets sitting here in the Belvedere where it was pleasant & cool. | |
