3 October 1912 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Thursday. 3rd [October 1912]. Theo & the Dacre Du Canes left me today for the Lago di Garda. I had a long morning enamelling with Miss Hallé. Went after lunch to the Hospital in gondola & over to the Eden’s garden to see them. They arrived yesterday from Belluno driven away by the bad weather. I found Mr Eden lying out in the garden in his chair enjoying the fine warm day wh was a sudden surprise to us. Sir Arthur Fanshawe arrived from Paris at 5 oclock to stay with me & after having tea we went out to the Piazza. | |
