15 October 1912 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 15th [October 1912]. I received in the evening & a good many people came. Abt 10 o’clock someone came in with the news that the preliminaries of peace have been signed at Ouchy between Turkey & Italy which rejoices all parties. Mr Nathan son of Nathan the Sindaco at Rome brought the news so we could believe it to be true. | |
